Early Voting at Polk County Election Office
Hey all,
Satellite voting is over. If Polk County voters wish to vote early in person they need to go to the Polk County Election office, located at 120 2nd Avenue in downtown Des Moines. The Polk County Election office will be open 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday through November 7, as well as Saturday, November 5.

Polk County voters can vote early in person at the Polk County Election Office, 120 Second Ave. in downtown Des Moines, beginning Thursday. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and will be open during those hours on the Saturdays of Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 as well.
In addition, satellite voting sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 17 through Oct. 29 at the following locations:
- Central Senior Center, 2008 Forest Ave., Des Moines
- East Des Moines Public Library, 2559 Hubbel Ave., Des Moines
- Northwest Community Center, 5110 Franklin Ave., Des Moines
- Polk County River Place, 2309 Euclid Ave., Des Moines
- Southside Senior Center, 100 Payton Ave., Des Moines
- Altoona Public Library, 700 Eighth St. S.W., Altoona
- Ankeny DMACC campus, Student Center, Building No. 5, 2006 S. Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny
- Clive Public Library, 1900 N.W. 114th St., Clive
- Grimes Public Library, 200 N. James St., Grimes
- Johnston Public Library, 6700 Merle Hay Road, Johnston
- Urbandale Public Library, 3520 86th St., Urbandale
- West Des Moines Public Library, 4000 Mills Civic Parkway, West Des Moines
There will also be a satellite voting site at the Kaleidoscope at Hub Tower in the downtown Des Moines skywalk system from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday from Oct. 17 to 29.

As election day gets closer, we are going to start getting inundated with voting questions. I have added a page on the website that contains links that tell people how to:
- check if they are registered to vote already
- register to vote
- update voter information
- request an absentee ballot
- track an absentee ballot
- find their polling place
- vote early through in-person absentee ballots at the Polk County Auditor’s office beginning Sept 29 through Nov 7
- and vote early with satelitte in-person absentee ballots at Johnston Public Library Monday through Friday, 10-4 from October 17-October 28 and on Saturday, October 29 from 10-4.

Voting on June 3 from 7:00AM to 9:00PM at the Library!
June 3rd is voting here at the library from 7:00AM to 9:00PM. Maurine will be here early to help with voting and Eric will be staying late to assist with voting.
