Circ Staff Meeting Recording – 12/05/2021

Hi All,

Probably not the most interesting meeting, but I hope the information is helpful. I will mark all of you off as having had the “official” paying and waiving fines and fees including how to run the cash register on the all desk training…hopefully everyone gets something new out of this. Please keep asking if you have questions. I will do troubleshooting training for the cash register in January.

Here is the link to the meeting

Thanks for watching 🙂

We will have concessions and skate rentals available Friday 5-8 p.m., Saturday 1 to 8 p.m., Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. The event wrapped up with our first tree lighting in The Yard. Our parks crew picked up and delivered the tree that is on display. Stop by City Hall to see the tree lit up at night. >> View Event Photos

Johnston Gives 2021 (aka Star Cards)

If you happen to take a call inquiring about Star Cards, please refer the caller to the Johnston Partnership https://johnstonpartnership.org/home/johnston-gives-2021/.

The Star Card program has morphed into Johnston Gives. Community members no longer select a wish list from families and purchase the items.  Instead, the Partnership provides families with gift cards.

Card-Making Kits Being Held for Patrons

Hello All!
If a patron says they are here to pick up a card-making kit from Dreama and Lori’s Sunday Card Crafting Club they are neatly packaged and on the holds shelf under the patron’s last name. Card kits do not need to be checked out. Patrons will have received a voicemail or an email that tells them they have a full week to pick the card kits up before they will be collected again by TS. Leftover kits are then donated to AHEPA Senior Living Apartments for residents.
Thanks!

Updated Mask Guidelines

From City Manager Jim Sanders:

Hello All,

I want to thank you all for your cooperation in following the mask guidelines we have had in place in city buildings and city vehicles. I truly believe that, through our efforts, we have done what we needed to do to keep ourselves, our families, friends and co-workers safe as we navigate through this pandemic.

We have been dealing with Covid for a long time and we all know the risks and what we can do to keep ourselves safe (get vaccinated, wash hands, wear masks and social distance). The big unknown is how the spread of Covid will be impacted when citizens in the colder climates begin to spend a majority of their time indoors during the winter months.

I have decided to rescind the face mask requirement for employees in common spaces in city buildings.

As you are aware, the CDC continues to recommend the use of masks when indoors. Even though we will no longer be required to wear masks in the common spaces in city buildings, I would encourage you to consider wearing a mask if you are in situations or in meetings when you are not able to maintain social distance.

I am continuing to require a mask when more than one employee are riding in a vehicle on city business.

We will continue to monitor issues related to Covid and provide updates and further guidance as they become available.

Thank you,

Jim
