Food for Fines

In normal times, Food for Fines would start tomorrow. Patrons can still donate items for fines during National Library week. The details posted to Facebook are included below. We’ll talk more about procedure for staff closer to re-opening:

The the library is closed but you can still pay your overdue fees with non-perishable food items or personal care items during National Library Week, April 18th-26th.
Here’s how it works:
-Donate items to the Johnston Partnership or any other food pantry.
-Get a receipt that includes the number of items you donated.
-When the library reopens, bring your receipt to the library to pay your fines.
One item pays $1 in fees. Fees for damaged or lost items cannot be paid with food or other items.
