I’ve included the parts of the commmunity survey results related to the library below as well as a link to the full results. You should all be very proud of the work you do and how the community perceives it.
- Library Services. Residents were generally satisfied with the overall quality of libraryservices provided. Eighty‐seven percent (87%) of the residents surveyed, who had an opinion, were “very satisfied” and “satisfied” with the Johnston Public Library; 84% weresatisfied with the quality of library materials, books, DVDs magazines and etc. and 84%were satisfied with the quality of library programs, story hours and book discussions.
- Seventy‐two percent (72%) of residents reported they had visited a JohnstonPublic Library in the past year.

- Larger library collection. Without integration with Urbandale, many earlier works of popular authorsare not in the collection.
- Stop planning for schools, and library too large and expensive for the population of less than 20,000.
- Excellent schools. Wonderful library, good police presence around schools
