Splash Pad Opening July 23
The splash pad within the Johnston Town Center will be opening on Friday, July 23. The operating hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Parks & Recreation will be installing new signs at 11 of the City parks. The signs are made from a composite material that should resist fading. The trees throughout our community inspired the design. Each of the signs also has an address for emergencies and location. >> Learn more
Ripples Installation at the Town Center
The Initial installation of Ripples was done on Wednesday, July 14, in the Johnston Town Center. Ripples will be an interactive sculpture in the heart of the Johnston Town Center for residents to enjoy. It was created by artist Reinaldo Correa. Ripples is already looking fantastic, and we will update residents when this area is ready for use. >> Learn more
Private Development Projects Update
Setpoint Mechancial LLC is in the process of constructing a new office building for their company along NW Thomas Avenue. The new office building will be two stories in height with approximately 6,600 square feet of floor area.

Congratulations to Simon Carl (Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department EMT) and his wife Allie on the birth of Rosie Camille. She was born on July 6th at 11:12 p.m.. She weighed 9 lbs. and was 22 3/8ʺ long.
Reggie Borntrager was hired on the Parks Seasonal Team and started on Monday, July 12. Welcome to the Parks team!
