Technical Services is making several changes to the way we handle book club sets:
- Book Club Sets is now a Collection in Polaris. Books in this Collection will be stored on the shelves in TS.
- In the next few months, we’ll be adding BK CLUB to the call number to help staff/patrons know where to shelve/find these books.
- Books with a status of “Cataloging” are on reserve for a borrowing library or a local book group. Our patrons may reserve book club sets in the same way that other libraries reserve them. Direct all inquiries to TS staff.
- Books with a status of “In” may be checked out by patrons. They may place them on hold or Circ staff may retrieve them from the TS area when a patron asks for them at the Circ Desk.
- There are no renewals for book club sets. Direct all requests for renewal to TS staff so that we can check for future reservations.
