Library Journal and School Library Journal are sponsoring an online conference Wednesday, October 19th. The conference will be projected in the East Meeting Room 9am-3:30pm. (there might be food). All staff are welcome. The conference includes concurrent presentations so we’ll need to decide which we’d like to show. Please take a look at the program and let me know your preferences.

On October 19, 2016, Library Journal, School Library Journal, and thousands of library professionals from around the world will gather for the eighth annual Digital Shift virtual conference to focus on the challenges and opportunities presented by the digital transition’s impact on libraries and their communities.
As technology evolves, so do the needs of communities, and more than ever, libraries are uniquely positioned to provide services to lead their communities and beyond. The “digital shift” continues to press libraries forward as it allows and compels them to create and improve library service through the smart and coherent application of technology to mission.
The Digital Shift: The Service Continuum will deliver the most relevant and up-to-the-minute thinking to help drive libraries and stakeholders into the future.
