Peg is retiring from JPL to travel, organize, spend time with her family, and do any number of other fun activities. Let’s celebrate her!
She’s worked at JPL for almost 11.5 years and, during that time, has created countless spreadsheets, facilitated book discussions, organized library programs that celebrate the beauty of different cultures, organized the library at large numerous times, and put her heart and soul into building the Adult Language Learning classes at JPL that are a truly special and beautiful space for individuals to learn a new language. Adult EL classes at JPL have served individuals from 34 countries!
Now, Peg thinks she wants to travel to some of those countries. Let’s send her off properly. On Friday, September 13, during the day, we will have a going away spread for Peg in the breakroom. Then, for interested parties, we will meet at Backpocket Pin and Pixel in Johnston after the library closes, around 6 p.m.
If you plan to attend the gathering at Backpocket, please let Beth know so we can provide the restaurant with an accurate headcount. You can email me at stevens@johnstonlibrary.com or sign up on the sheet in the staff room. Thank you!
