Please take a look at this message (linked below) from the Seattle Public Library regarding their reaction to the Corona virus, which has reached King County where SPL is located. If the virus reaches Polk County and we are advised to take action by the Polk County Health Department, our reaction will likely look similar to Seattle’s including:
- removing unnecessary items in children’s areas such as toys, puzzles and other playthings that are difficult to clean and sanitize.
- cancelling programs
- cancelling meeting room reservations
- regularly cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and equipment
Note that they are not wiping down books.
