Wintry precipitation will spread over the state this afternoon into tonight. Ice amounts over atenth of an inch are possible over southeast Iowa with lesser icing expected farther north andwest toward the I-35 corridor.Frigid air will return to the state Thursday into Friday and be accompanied by gusty winds.With the air temperature below zero across much of the state by Friday morning and thebreezy conditions, wind chills will fall well below 20 below in many locations. While this coldepisode will not be as prolonged as last weeks and wind chill values will not be as extreme,these wind chills can still be hazardous to dangerous if precautions are not taken.
